Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026.
Who is responsible
The controller responsible for your customer information is the sole trader operating as TAB Pro, identified in Contact & legal information. That identity disclosure forms part of this privacy notice. Contact hello@tabprotools.com or write to 18 St Nicholas Street, Bristol, BS1 1UB, United Kingdom about privacy or your data-protection rights.
Information we use and why
We use the contact details you provide, enquiry and interest-list messages, order and delivery details, transaction and payment-status information, and records of cancellations, returns and support conversations. Shopify also processes technical and usage information, such as device and browser details, IP address, cookies and interactions with the store. Payment providers process payment information to complete transactions; this is different from the order and payment-status information available to us.
We use information to respond to enquiries, take steps you request before a purchase, process and fulfil orders, handle returns and provide support. Our legal basis for these activities is performance of a contract or steps requested before entering one. We keep records needed to meet legal obligations, including applicable accounting requirements. We also rely on legitimate interests in secure store operation, fraud prevention and resolving disputes, taking account of your rights.
If you join a first-batch interest list, we use your name, email and stated product interest to provide the updates you requested. We rely on your consent for these requested promotional updates; you can withdraw it by emailing hello@tabprotools.com. Joining a list does not place an order or reserve goods. We do not treat an enquiry or purchase alone as permission for unrelated marketing.
Storage and sharing
We currently keep our customer records in Shopify and our existing Microsoft 365 inbox. We have not added a separate customer database or external mailing platform. Shopify and Microsoft process information to provide these services. To fulfil orders, necessary recipient and delivery details are supplied to Royal Mail, and payment information is processed by the payment provider selected at checkout. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Keeping our records in Shopify and Microsoft 365 does not mean those providers or the delivery and payment services process no data elsewhere. They may use service providers and international infrastructure under their applicable privacy terms and safeguards. Shopify identifies European Union data hosting; this is not a promise that every provider processes data only in the UK or EU.
Shopify features, cookies and marketing
Our store uses Shopify’s UK cookie-consent banner. Where consent is required for non-essential cookies or tracking, your choices govern their use. You can review available choices through the cookie controls shown on the website.
Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled. It allows Shopify to use store interaction data together with data from other merchants to provide enhanced services, including protection, personalisation and advertising-related features. Shopify acts as a controller for relevant enhanced-service processing under its own Consumer Privacy Policy (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/consumers). You can also visit Shopify’s Privacy Portal (https://privacy.shopify.com/) for its privacy choices and rights requests.
Shop reminder settings for abandoned carts, back-in-stock products, price drops and repeated browsing are enabled. Where eligible and subject to applicable preferences and consent, Shopify may send those reminders by email or push notification. These provider features are distinct from a TAB Pro marketing automation programme. No app or custom pixels are currently listed in Shopify’s Customer events settings.
How long information is kept
We retain information for the purpose for which it was collected and for any necessary legal record-keeping or claim-handling period. The criteria are whether an order, return, enquiry or dispute remains open; whether records are needed for applicable legal obligations; and whether there remains a justified reason to keep them. Interest-list information is kept while needed for the updates requested, subject to withdrawal and any necessary record of your preference.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, receive portable data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing and withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful processing. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or deal with claims.
Send requests to hello@tabprotools.com or our Bristol address above. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/). Contacting us first can help resolve a concern but is not a condition of your right to complain.
Where consent is required, it is also the basis for non-essential cookies and related tracking. For processing where Shopify acts as controller, its own privacy notice explains its purposes and legal bases. We will update this notice when our actual practices change. It does not imply that proposed services, campaigns or integrations are already in use.
